The Rinat Akhmetov Foundation participated in the AidEx 2018 international conference
Representatives of the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation took part in the AidEx 2018 international conference held in Brussels over November 13 &14.
The event brought together a large number of participants, particularly representatives of the world’s biggest charity organizations, and governmental bodies from the United States and Europe.
During AidEx 2018, experts from the charitable sector shared their experiences, and discussed the implementation of innovative methods for enhancing effectiveness when providing humanitarian assistance.
“One of the main conference themes featured the introduction of standards and principles of assistance provision, differences between conflicts, and features of provision of humanitarian assistance in various countries suffering ongoing armed conflicts. AidEx 2018 once again confirmed that the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation keeps up with the times: adheres to the best international practices and implements many progressive charity standards into its work”, - Roman Hubchenko, the Foundation Director, said.
For the record, it’s not for the first time the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation has participated in events at such a high level. In May, the Foundation's representatives presented a photo-book “Donbass and the Civilians” in Brussels at the annual European Foundation Centre (EFC) Conference, bringing together over 500 major benefactors. The conference became one of the most significant events in Europe. This year its central topic was devoted to promotion of the charitable sector.
