Допомога під час війни: Фонд Ріната Ахметова передав близько 800 тисяч одиниць медикаментів для медичних установ і населення
Since the beginning of the war, which continues for more than nine years now, the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation has directed all its efforts to humanitarian assistance for people — in particular, supplying the necessary medicines and medical products. Over this time, the Foundation provided about 800,000 units of medicines both to the country’s medical institutions and to the Ukrainian people.
Since 2014, when the russian aggression spread to the east of Ukraine, the Foundation has systematically helped people in need, delivering the most necessary medicines to areas along the entire conflict line. The beginning of the full-scale invasion marked a new stage and scale of support.
In the first days of March 2022, when hospitals were in dire need of donor blood, the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation purchased and donated to the Ministry of Health of Ukraine 63,000 blood containers intended for the collection, filtration and storage of blood.
In the same days, in coordination with the Ministry of Health, hospitals in Kyiv received the first 100,000 units of medicines from the Foundation, namely antibiotics, antiseptics, wound care products, medicines for asthma patients, etc.
In addition, humanitarian cargoes with vital medicines were sent to healthcare institutions in Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia regions, which extremely needed them.
Overall, during this period, medicines and medical products from the Foundation were delivered to healthcare facilities in Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Kyiv, Zaporizhzhia and Donetsk regions.
The assistance from the Foundation is provided under the program Rinat Akhmetov — Saving Lives.
Since 2014, the assistance from the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation, SCM businesses and Shakhtar Football Club has reached more than 18 million people. A more detailed information is available at the ink.
