Over 150,000 children's packages have been issued since the start of Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center's operation

25.03.2015

Since the beginning of the year the Humanitarian Center issued over 80,000 children’s kits for infants from 0 to 2 years old. The total number of children's packages issued since August 2014 is 156 686.

The aid is issued in towns located in ATO area, at firing line and in towns in government-controlled territories, where IDPs reside. The aid is provided to parents, who left the firing line towns for the neighbouring towns, controlled by Ukrainian authorities, such as Slovyansk, Mariupol, Siverodonetsk, Kramatorsk, Artemivsk, Starobilsk and other.
"According to statistics, 60% of IDPs are women and children. That is why, according to the order of Rinat Akhmetov, the Humanitarian Center will pay special attention to this particular category of Donbas civilians. That is why we created "Let's Help Children" program, under which we provide infants from 0 to 2 years old with baby food. In April Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center will continue helping children, we are planning to send 30,000 children's packages to Donetsk and Luhansk regions", Grigory Koldunov, Director of Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center, commented.

We remind that the packages are subdivided into two age categories of children: from 0 till 1 year old (the package contains baby formula and cereals, semolina, fruit and vegetable purée) and from 1 till 2 years old (the package contains oat flakes, semolina, baby cereals, fruit and vegetable purée).
