Charitable campaign extended!

High attention to tuberculosis epidemic today, population's contribution and willingness to help have encouraged the Foundation for Development of Ukraine and Amstor national trading network to extend their joint campaign for one more month, until 27 January 2008. The campaign was launched on 26 November 2007 and aims at improving conditions of patients' stay in anti-TB centers in nine cities: Donetsk, Makeyevka, Gorlovka, Mariupol, Severodonetsk, Nikolaev and Kremenchug.

At the cash desks of Amstor supermarkets of all the mentioned cities there were installed money boxes for donations. The visitors can get more detailed information regarding the TB problem, active hotline and the disease signs from information leaflets placed on information stands. Many money boxes have been filled up during the campaign. Visitors pay great attention to the information leaflets.

Irrespective of number of population and income level, each city holding the campaign has demonstrated interest and willingness to provide material aid to anti-TB centers and their patients. Foundation for Development of Ukraine is a non-profit organization founded by SCM Group on 15 July, 2005. The budget of the Foundation is financed by ZAO SCM. The areas of activity of the Foundation include contemporary education, health of the nation and cultural heritage.
