The convoy with humanitarian aid from Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center will be staying in Pavlohrad for another 24 hours
The convoy, consisting of 39 heavy-duty trucks with food products from Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center for Donbas civilians, which started from Dnipropetrovsk for Donetsk on the 3rd of June in the morning, was stopped due to closed checkpoints in Maryinka area as a result of resumed active hostilities.
Grigory Koldunov, Director of the Humanitarian Center, is in Pavlohrad now, and he commented on the further movement of the convoy:
"Since all the checkpoints for entry and exit from Donetsk are still closed, we leave our convoy in Pavlohrad for another night. We hope that tomorrow we will be able to resume driving. Otherwise we will have to send the trucks back to the warehouse in Dnipropetrovsk, as the temperature conditions are not maintained for some products. We really need to resume product supplies this week. Or we may have problems with issuance of survival kits for children, elderly people and other most vulnerable categories of peaceful Donbas residents".
