Ilyich Iron and Steel Works of Mariupol will help to restore 60 houses in Sartana

Ilyich Iron and Steel Works of Mariupol (METINVEST Group) in cooperation with Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center helps the civilians of Sartana settlement in Mariupol who suffered shelling. MMKI employees will start active restoration of destroyed houses in the settlement since August 18. 

According to the enterprise, there are 60 damaged houses in the settlement, including 55 with various degrees of destruction and 5 houses that cannot be restored due to direct hit.

MKKI employees will be sent on the sites to assess the possibility of restoration, the amount of material for the works and deadlines. The houses with minor destructions will have their roof and walls restored and their windows replaced. Specially for this purpose, the Iron and Steel Works of Mariupol is launching a site for windows production.

Those families, whose houses cannot be restored, will be offered uninhabited houses in the settlement. MMKI employees will prepare them for living.

As a reminder, the shelling of Sartana settlement (Mariupol) on August 16 resulted in victims among civilians: 2 people killed, 6 people injured, dozens of houses destroyed.

Among the wounded there is a 10-year-old girl in critical condition; Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center will take care of her further treatment. As necessary, the Humanitarian Center is also ready to respond quickly to the requests for medical supplies for adult victims as well.
