Dynamic Museum project

Implementation years: 2012 - 2019

The Rinat Akhmetov Foundation gives priority to preserve historical heritage and  develop Ukrainian culture. To do this, it was necessary to introduce the best world practices in domestic museums, become a driving force and an example of bringing positive changes in the field of museum studies in Ukraine. To enable museums not only to return to the public space, but also to become outstanding, modern and popular.

In 2012, the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation launched the project Dynamic Museum in order to generate mass interest of Ukrainians in museums. 

Rinat Akhmetov's modernization grants  were won by two museums, whose support grew into separate projects:

• Ivan Honchar Museum (National Centre of Folk Culture) (Kyiv),
• State National Museum of Natural History at the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (Lviv).
