Warm memories and useful skills: the summer session of the Blogger Camp from the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation is over

30.06.2023

The summer session of the Blogger Camp from the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation has come to an end. It has given children bright impressions, new friends, and a variety of experiences. It has taught them some blogger’s skills and creative activities that can become a hobby or even a life-long occupation.

During the session, children rested, strengthened their health, and discovered the world of professions. In particular, they practised some drawing and learned about the profession of the animator together with the team of the animated film Mavka. The Forest Song. Boys and girls admit that it was very interesting and useful.

“If you want to practise drawing, such master classes can be very useful. That is awesome! And I like animation,” said Sofia, who was a participant of the camp’s session.

During the session, some professionals from the media sphere worked with children. With their support, the participants of the session learned how to create and successfully present their blogs. The famous TV presenter and actor Oleksiy Sukhanov, who is an ambassador of the Museum of Civilian Voices of the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation, conducted a master class for children in the format of an interactive lesson on how to make interesting interviews.

Skilled psychologists of the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation helped children to overcome stress and mitigate the impact of the war trauma. The Foundation’s psychologist, Olha Frolova, emphasized the benefits of this profession-oriented session.

“We now live in the digital world and the practical application of blogging skills, such as shooting and editing video, is very useful. People who are experts in this field show their skills and share their experience. This is inspiring. You realize that this can be done not only for fun, but you can make it a profession, even if you have never thought this way,” said Olha.

On the last day of the camp’s session, the participants of the project "Rinat Akhmetov for Children. Peaceful Rest for Children of Ukraine" were full of emotions. They did not want to leave at all. These two weeks will remind them of the wonderful time spent in Zakarpattia for a long time: with pleasant memories, a sense of psychological relief, some new dreams, and a hope for a happy future that will certainly come.

The participants of the project are children from 8 to 14 years old who suffered from the war. Within the framework of this project, more than 4,750 children from all over the country underwent rehabilitation and received professional psychological assistance.
