Rimma Fil: Rinat Akhmetov helped, helps and will help

18.05.2015

"Any rumours that the Humanitarian Center stops its operation are not consistent with the reality. Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center keeps on working. Rinat Akhmetov helped, helps and will help people, who are in trouble. While the military actions in Donbas continue, while retired people, multi-child families and young mothers live there with no pensions and social payments. I want it to be heard both by those, who spread the rumours and who receive our humanitarian aid. And we hope that common sense prevails and peace comes back to Donbas", – Rimma Fil stated.

Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center keeps helping people, who need it the most. Only in May the Humanitarian Center is planning to deliver 350,000 food packages for adults and 42,000 children food baskets. The soonest convoy, consisting of 30 trucks, will start from Dnipropetrovsk for Donetsk on May 20.

During ten months of its operation Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center has issued three million food packages for adults and 200,000 children food baskets for Donbas civilians.

According to the Humanitarian Map information, the acute demand for food products is felt by 45% of population, living in non-government-controlled areas.

The only source of subsistence for the hundreds of thousands people here is humanitarian aid, which is delivered to Donbas by Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center and international organizations: UNO, Red Cross, People in Need, etc.
