An opportunity to live without pain: a 67-year-old seriously injured resident of the Sumy region receives help in treatment from Rinat Akhmetov Foundation
In September last year, Tetiana Ivanivna came under fire in her native Seredyna Buda, Sumy region. She was doing household chores in her garden when russians started shelling the town. She was seriously injured and wounded. The impact was so severe that Tetiana's teeth were even knocked out... The 67-year-old woman still suffers from pain and needs constant treatment. The Rinat Akhmetov Foundation helped the injured woman with her treatment.
Tetiana Ivanivna remembers that terrible day well. After the shelling, she crawled to her house because she could not stand on her severely injured leg. A local policeman gave her first aid and took her to an ambulance. Once in the hands of doctors, the woman lost consciousness.
In hospital, she underwent surgery and had a plaster cast put on. Tetiana Ivanivna had to spend a month and a half in medical facilities. Then, her neighbours took care of her. Time has passed, the wounds have healed, but the pain remains, as well as problems with movement. The woman constantly takes painkillers, uses medicinal creams, etc. Thanks to the Foundation's help, Tetiana can continue her treatment.
