Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center launches an extra shift at the seashore for Donbas children
Due to the large number of applications, Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center decided to launch an extra shift in Fakel summer camp for Donbas children. The third shift will last from the 9th till the 22nd of August.
"The first shift finished on the 25th of July, and that is when the second shift started in Berdiansk summer camp. The kids that were leaving and the newly arrived children were very happy with their vacation. Not only they could improve their health here, but also get distracted from emotional stress caused by the war. Despite the fact that registration for the summer camp has been closed two weeks ago, we keep on receiving applications from parents. That is why Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center decided to organize the extra third shift, which would allow 100 more boys and girls to dip into their joyful and carefree childhood for two weeks", – Iryna Sobol, Program Coordinator at Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center, says.
Children from 8 to 14 years old, both living in non-government-controlled areas of Donbas and internally displaced children that are temporarily staying in government-controlled areas of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, are invited for registration to the children summer camp. To confirm the child's place of residence parents shall provide the child's statement of good health, issued on the form on institution located in ATO area (for children living in NGCA) or certificate of displaced person (for IDP's children).
To register a child in "Peaceful summer for Donbas children" program you need to:
- Fill in the registration form (after the form is filled, the Humanitarian Center will contact you to confirm the possibility of child acceptance to the camp);
- Send the following scanned documents on [email protected]:
- medical certificate
- IPD certificate (for internally displaced children)
- Prepare the package of documents and present it upon arrival to the camp.
As a reminder, the health improvement vacations in Fakel summer camp are being provided within the Humanitarian Center's program "Peaceful summer for Donbas children", granting free vacations for 2,800 children. 600 of them will improve their health in Fakel summer camp in Berdiansk, and 2,200 children, who cannot cross the contact line and go the peaceful territories, will attend children summer centres in Donetsk, Yenakiieve, Komsomolske and Khartsyzk.
