Rinat Akhmetov Foundation is the most famous charitable organization of Ukraine

The most recognizable charitable organization in Ukraine is Rinat Akhmetov Foundation. According to the opinion survey of “Charity and Volunteering 2017”, conducted by GFK Ukraine and CoreStone, 58% of Ukrainians are familiar with the Foundation’s work.

The Foundation is also among the top three leaders of Ukraine's charitable organizations in terms of trust, along with the International Committee of the Red Cross and Ukrainian Red Cross Society. At the same time, it is important to note that the charitable programmes of Rinat Akhmetov Foundation aimed at helping Donbas civilians, saving and treating children as well as helping orphans, are financed by one person. The most large-scale programme of the Foundation is Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center. At the moment it is the largest humanitarian mission in Ukraine, for the entire working period of which more than 1 million lives have been saved.

“The Foundation has always demonstrated full disclosure in its activities”, says Roman Rubchenko, the director of Rinat Akhmetov Foundation. “It helps people who have found themselves in critical life situations, working on the principle of ‘helping here and now’. And it is very important that people trust the Foundation.”

“Charity and Volunteering 2017” opinion survey was conducted by GFK Ukraine and CoreStone. The survey was held from January 17 to February 6, 2018 in cities with a population of more than 50 thousand people, and the charitable organizations experts took part in it too.
