The final 2016 convoy of the Humanitarian Center arrives in Donetsk

Today, on December 21, the convoy #280 of Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center arrived in Donetsk. This is the final aid delivery in 2016.

In the evening 17 heavy-duty trucks delivered products to form 45,000 adult survival kits for civilians in non-government-controlled areas.       

During the day the convoy with food went through customs and fiscal inspection at Novotroitske checkpoint with the package of supporting documents confirming the cargo composition and product quality.

During the entire period of its operation the Humanitarian Center sent 6,190 heavy-duty trucks with humanitarian aid. This is more than 123,000 tons of food. In 2016 the Humanitarian Center developed the right pace of aid delivery. Thanks to this people always know what day then can receive their package. The average daily number of people receiving food packages on each side of the contact line is 17,000 people. 

Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center changed the composition of food packages issued to Donbas civilians for New Year. More than 140,000 people have already received them. More details on New Year packages can be found here.     

In early January the Center will send the first humanitarian convoy to Donbas in New Year, the actual convoy number is 281. 

As of December 21, 2016, Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center issued 11 million adult and children survival kits on both sides of the contact line.
