Help from the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation, SCM Businesses and FC Shakhtar Reached 3 Million Ukrainians
Since 24 February 2022, the humanitarian aid from the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation, SCM businesses and Shakhtar Football Club has reached more than 3 million people. More than 1.2 million of them have been covered by the Foundation’s help, and the remaining part was provided with assistance from SCM businesses.
In particular, the areas of humanitarian support are the following:
- 1.6 million people: health, evacuation and other humanitarian assistance (including help with medicines, medical equipment, psychological support, logistics, advice and other aspects)
- 1.4 million people: food security (including food and food support packages).
Pooling of efforts now makes it possible to help millions and be the largest private humanitarian initiative.
“The main thing for us now is to help Ukraine’s civilians survive, and help Ukraine win,” Rinat Akhmetov said.
It should be added that in view of the duration of this war and people’s growing need for humanitarian support, Rinat Akhmetov decided to double the amount of food aid. In total, 400,000 food support packages will be provided to people in Ukraine.
The help is provided in the framework of the program Rinat Akhmetov – Saving Lives.
