45,000 food packages from Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center are delivered to Donbas Arena
Another humanitarian convoy with food arrived at logistic warehouse of Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center at Donbas Arena yesterday, on September 25. This is the 102nd convoy that was sent to Donbas over the whole period of the Humanitarian Center's operation. The aid is aimed for civilians living in non-government-controlled areas.
Tomorrow the volunteers of Shakhtar Football Club will form 45,000 survival kits from the delivered 320 tons of food. Each product unit in the package will be marked with: "Humanitarian Aid. Not for sale" sticker. Soon the food packages will be delivered to the issuing points across non-government-controlled areas.
The truck convoy passed all the checkpoints on its way and customs inspection with the full package of documents, legalized in compliance with all norms and procedures, according to the current legislation of Ukraine, and confirming the cargo content and the quality of products. There was also the order of the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine on recognition of this cargo as humanitarian. You can see the documents for cargo here.
The Humanitarian Center has already fulfilled the supplies plan for the current week. The Center sent three truck convoys to Donetsk from 21 to 25 of September 2015. These are 1,060 tons of food to form 130,000 survival kits.
As of September 25, 2015, Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center has issued 4,605,000 survival kits for adults and 337,000 children packages on both sides of the contact line.
