A graduate of Harvard has led the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation

Roman Rubchenko was appointed the director of Rinat Akhmetov Foundation.

“Roman is an experienced leader, an expert in strategic and operational consulting, organizational design, corporate policy development and team management. We are sure that his experience, combined with the achievements of Rinat Akhmetov Foundation and the Humanitarian Center, will make the Foundation's assistance even more extensive, and the staff work more effective,” commented Natalia Yemchenko, a member of the Foundation's Supervisory Board.

“The Foundation is the leader of Ukrainian charity. The scale and consistency of Rinat Akhmetov charitable Foundation’s work are unprecedented and already now may provide assistance to hundreds of thousands of people who find themselves in a difficult life situation. I am grateful to the founder of the Foundation for the opportunity to become part of the team, as well as for the ambitious tasks that he has set for the team,” Roman Rubchenko said.

Roman spent 17 years in the United States, where he received several higher degrees (a bachelor's degree in international trade and finance at Louisiana State University, an MBA in corporate strategic governance at Michigan University Ross School Business, a master's degree in public administration at Harvard Kennedy School of Government) and worked in top companies.

Within the framework of the Foundation, Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center will continue its work. Oleksandr Vyshniakov remains the director of the Center until the end of January, then he will realize his accumulated unique experience as an expert of the Foundation. From February of 2018, the management of the Center within the framework of the Foundation will be transferred to Roman Rubchenko.
