Rinat Akhmetov's Address on the Occasion of the 5th Anniversary of the Humanitarian Center

06.08.2019

Dear friends:

This year, the Humanitarian Center has turned 5.

This anniversary is not a celebration in the usual sense of this word, because 5 years of the Center’s existence mean 5 years of the War in Donbas, 5 years of tears of our compatriots.

But at the same time, these are the 5 years of dedicated work of the Center’s staff and volunteers. These are the 5 years of helping those who need help the most, helping the most destitute and vulnerable people.

For me, today’s anniversary is another opportunity to thank everyone involved in the Center’s activities. To thank the entire staff and all volunteers for their courage and self-dedication, for working 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, but most importantly, for the ability to bring hope, for their kind souls and hearts.

I said it on many occasions before, and would like to repeat it again: charity is the ability to hear someone else’s pain. Thank you for understanding it and for sharing my philosophy! I am truly grateful that for you, someone else’s pain simply does not exist!

And I sincerely wish that the fate returns your kindness and warmth to you! I wish you health and happiness, dear friends!

With the deepest respect,

Rinat Akhmetov
