Rinat Akhmetov: «I want to thank each of you!»
On August 12, 2015, Rinat Akhmetov held a working meeting with the most active members of the Humanitarian Center, where he thanked each of them for their enormous work during the year, which was aimed at saving Donbas civilians, who got in trouble.
"I want to thank each of you. For the whole year you worked every day, 24/7, helping people to survive. And I am strongly convinced: if you don't take someone's pain as your own, if you don't put your heart and soul into helping people, it is impossible to do that great job that you are showing now! That is why I want to express my most sincere gratitude! I couldn't even imagine it in my worst nightmare that we would be saving our fellow countrymen from starvation. Help them survive. "Survive" is an awful word, but it is true. You know it better than others that our humanitarian aid helps people and they are waiting for it", – Rinat Akhmetov emphasized.
The Heads of directions told the Humanitarian Center's Founder about the peculiarities of their work, talked about the existing problems, how people perceive this aid and what issues require urgent attention.
As of August 12, the Humanitarian Center issued 4 million food packages for Donbas civilians. "The Humanitarian Center is operating to the fullest extent", – Grigory Koldunov, Director of Humanitarian Center, emphasized.
"Rinat Akhmetov expressed sincere gratitude to each volunteer that worked at the Humanitarian Center during the year. Many-many thanks! It was a very warm meeting. We were analysing what had been done and talked a lot about the future help. Rinat Akhmetov mentioned it once again that Donbas stayed in his heart forever, and his thoughts never left this region even for a second. He will keep helping as long as this help is required", – Rimma Fil, Coordinator at Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center, shared after the meeting.
