Rinat Akhmetov will help all the families of the miners killed due to explosion at Zasyadko mine

Rinat Akhmetov's Humanitarian Center will support the families of the miners that were killed and injured due to methane explosion at Zasyadko mine, which took place yesterday, on March 4, in Donetsk. By order of Rinat Akhmetov all families of the killed miners will be provided with financial aid equal to UAH 100 ths.

Rimma Fil, Coordinator of the Humanitarian Center: "As soon as Rinat Akhmetov heard about the tragedy, he set a task for our Center to help everybody, who was involved in it. The mine accident is our common pain and tragedy. Our football club is called "Shakhtar", which means "Miner". Our friends and relatives work in mines. We extend our sincere condolences to the families and friends of the killed miners. We wish strength and courage to all the accident victims".

Humanitarian Center will also provide medical aid for those 15 miners, who are staying in three Donetsk hospitals. Five of them are severely injured and staying in Donetsk Burn Center.

Soon all the necessary medications will be delivered to Donetsk Burn Center, Donetsk Hospital for Occupational Diseases and Donetsk Regional Trauma Hospital for all the injured miners. These are antibiotics, plasma volume expander, antifungals, anti-inflammatory medicine disinfecting and antiseptic agents, consumables for injections, dressing materials, hepatoprotectors and medications that influence tissue metabolism.

The total amount of financial aid to the families of killed and injured miners makes UAH 4 mln. 700 ths.
