The Rinat Akhmetov Foundation is the most recognizable charitable organization in Ukraine

09.10.2019

The Rinat Akhmetov Foundation is ranked first in terms of recognizability by Ukrainians, a public opinion survey by Democratic Initiatives Foundation revealed. The survey was held to assess changes in public recognizability of civil society organizations and their activities.

Answering the question “Can you name one organization?” (recall the name of a charitable or civil society organization without a prompt – editor’s note), the majority (33%) of respondents named the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation. Other recognizable organizations included the Viktor Pinchuk Foundation (mentioned by 11% of respondents), the Red Cross (2%) and Caritas Ukraine (2%).

The survey was conducted on 14-27 June and 10-23 July 2019 using computer-assisted personal interviewing (CAPI) technique. The sampling included 2054 Ukrainian residents aged 18 years and over.

It is worth reminding that according to a sociological survey held in June 2019 by Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS), the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation tops the rating of Ukrainian charitable organizations.
