Public opinion survey: the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation is the most well-known charitable organization in Ukraine
According to a sociological survey held by Socioinform Ukrainian Center for Public Opinion Studies, the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation is the leading charitable organization in Ukraine. 83% of the Ukrainian population are aware of its charitable activity. The Foundation is the leader among the 11 most recognizable charitable organizations in the country.
The Rinat Akhmetov Foundation is the largest private charitable initiative in Ukraine. The sheer scale of its programs brought it to the very top of the nationwide recognizability rating, having almost twice as large recognizability indicator as the second-placed Viktor Pinchuk Foundation. Among the three leaders is also the International Renaissance Foundation with the 17% public awareness score. The survey was held in June-August 2019 among 2000 respondents and 10 focus groups.
“Such a high praise of the Foundation’s efforts is the merit of the Founder, Rinat Akhmetov. He put together a team and united them around the idea of helping those who need help the most: children and elderly people, families with many children and lonely people who live in very difficult conditions today. And most importantly, his efforts helped save more than a million human lives. The appreciation which Ukrainians constantly express in sociological surveys is an indication of the publicly recognized importance and unprecedented scale of the assistance provided by Rinat Akhmetov and of the efforts of the Foundation’s team, volunteers and ambassadors. The philosophy of the Foundation’s Founder – to help those who found themselves in the most difficult conditions – was understood and taken to heart by the society,” Natalia Yemchenko, member of the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation’s Supervisory Board noted.
A sociological survey conducted in July by Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS) revealed similarly high indicators and the leading position of the Foundation among all charitable and civil society organizations of Ukraine.
