22.07.2015

Over two months the mobile volunteer teams of Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center delivered and issued 19,206 survival kits for residents of remote villages in Donetsk region. The mobile issuance of humanitarian aid is functioning in those towns and villages, where there's no possibility to open fixed issuing points, both in ATO area, government-controlled areas and on the contact line.

The mobile aid issuance project was launched by the Humanitarian Center of the 22nd of May. Since then the volunteers drive to remote villages and towns almost every day, delivering humanitarian aid to the most vulnerable categories of the population: elderly and disabled people, multi-child families, children under two years old.

The "mobile" aid in non-government-controlled areas of Donetsk region is provided in 82 villages and settlements of Amvrosiivka district. All together they issued 9,400 survival kits. 9,800 packages were issued in government-controlled areas and on the contact line. Volunteers delivered humanitarian aid to 25 settlements. Their last visit was made to Kurdiumivka, Artemove and Leninske settlements, located near Dzerzhynsk. During one day they issued 750 survival kits.

"Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center is constantly working hard to increase its effectiveness. We are trying to help the maximum number of people. That is why we launched mobile teams two months ago. Our goal is to deliver humanitarian aid to the most remote and inaccessible locations.  To the places, where it is impossible to open fixed issuing points, unfortunately, – Yevgeniya Rzaieva, the Head of distribution department at the Humanitarian Center, shares. – The work of mobile volunteers is very difficult. They have to go through long inspections at checkpoints and during their trips they appeared in locations that observed shelling. Nevertheless, the volunteers and the employees of Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center understand the importance of this aid and keep on working".
