The calls to the Humanitarian Center's hotline are mostly coming from retired people (43%), single mothers (8%) and disabled people (4%). The majority of the calls are coming from non-government-controlled areas of Donbas, where people are in desperate need of help. Donetsk, Makiivka and Horlivka are the leaders according to the number of applications.

"The Humanitarian Center's hotline has been functioning for more than a year, during this period the operators received 390,000 calls. Our phones never fall silent. This demonstrates the relevance of assistance and difficult humanitarian situation in Donbas, – Oksana Kriuchkova, the Head of Humanitarian Center's hotline, comments. – On the other hand, we get more of the calls from people who are willing to help. For example, after the TV story about the blind woman from Donetsk, who turned out to homeless, we got a call from Odessa resident, and she offered to host the victim. We also get frequent calls from Donetsk and Luhansk residents who want to become Humanitarian Center's volunteers.
