The Rinat Akhmetov Foundation transferred a ventilator to the doctors of Pokrovsk

Pokrovsk Clinical Intensive Care Hospital received a modern ventilator from the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation and SCM.

"Ventilators were the equipment Ukrainian doctors most required. Despite the shortage of high-quality ventilators, the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation managed to buy and bring them to Ukraine. Over 140 high-end ventilators have already been delivered to doctors. Now they save the lives of patients with severe coronavirus. The equipment from the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation was delivered to the main state hospitals in 12 regions (oblasts) of the country. The first of them were transferred to the state hospitals of Ukraine in March 2020," Natalya Yemchenko, a member of the Supervisory Board of the Foundation, said.

As noted by Valerii Yakovenko, General Director of PJSC CG POKROVS'KE, the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation has been providing doctors who confront the coronavirus with the most necessary things since February 2020.

"Over 200,000 units of personal protective equipment were transferred to state hospitals. Doctors also received 320 rapid tests from the Foundation. The purchase of more than 200 cutting-edge ventilators for public hospitals has become crucial to assist the country in this fight.  The ventilators delivered by the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation correspond to the world standards completely, plus, they are ultimately easy to use and rule out the human error significantly. This ensures that once installed the purchased ventilators can be used immediately, and it is very important at the time of the epidemic, when saving a life is a matter of right here, right now.

Then Director of the hospital Yurii Borodin expressed his gratitude for the help.

"I would like to express my gratitude to the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation for such a contribution to updating our medical base. This is the intensive care equipment that will save patients with coronavirus today. It will be necessary even after the epidemic," Yurii Borodin said.

Deputy Mayor of Pokrovsk, Yaroslav Khotnianskyi, also expressed his appreciation,

"On behalf of the residents of Pokrovsk and the entire district, I would like to acknowledge the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation. This is not the first time this person and the Foundation come to the aid of the residents of Donbass. Doctors' support is very important In these difficult conditions. 

Since the beginning of the coronavirus epidemic, state hospitals in Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Poltava, Ternopil, Rivne, Zakarpattia and Kharkiv Oblasts, as well as in Kyiv, have received modern ventilators from the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation.

Fighting COVID-19 in Ukraine is a large-scale project of the Foundation created to help save people's lives. It is implemented under the program Rinat Akhmetov – Saving Lives. Earlier, Rinat Akhmetov launched 200 Ambulances for Ukraine, which was was implemented as part of this program. Back then, all regional state medical institutions received 200 special vehicles with state-of-the-art military equipment that can get over off-road conditions within the record time of six months. Moreover, 22 vehicles equiped with ventilators`for newborns were also delivered. This is the largest contribution made by one philanthropist to the state medicine of Ukraine since our country became independent. These days, many of these ambulances are involved in the fight against the coronavirus epidemic.
