Assistance to the «grey zone» residents: the schedule of mobile teams’ trips in June
Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center continues providing assistance to civilian population of the armed conflict areas in the East of Ukraine. Since early May the Humanitarian Center's volunteers issued almost 30,000 food packages to people living in the "grey zone" and on the contact line.
"Ordinary people, who are forced to stay in the "grey zone", are living in extremely difficult conditions. Constantly intensifying hostilities, shelling, lack of amenities like electricity or mobile connection. In many settlements residents are left without jobs and means of subsistence. So the Humanitarian Center's help is very important here. Our main category of aid recipients are retired people, single parents, multi-child families and people with disabilities", – Mykhailo Katerynchak, the Head of "Humanitarian Aid" direction, shares.
In June 2017 the Center’s teams of volunteers will keep on issuing humanitarian aid to civilian population.
As a reminder, over the entire period of its operation Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center issued 11.77 million food packages on both sides of the contact line. The Humanitarian Center's mobile teams started their operation in May 2015. This format of food package delivery makes it possible to help people in the places where it is impossible to open fixed issuing points.
