The 150th truck convoy of Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center delivers humanitarian aid to Donetsk

22.01.2016

The 150th truck convoy delivering aid from Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center arrived in Donetsk on January 22. 340 tons of food were delivered to logistic centre at Donbas Arena, and they will be used to form 30,000 survival kits for adults. This aid is aimed for civilians living in non-government-controlled areas.

During the daytime 17 trucks went through customs inspection at Novotroitske checkpoint with the full package of supporting documents, confirming the cargo composition and product quality.

The dispatch of this convoy was postponed for a day because of bad weather and late delivery of products by suppliers. The Humanitarian Center managed to load the convoys overnight and deliver humanitarian goods to Donetsk during the daylight hours. That allowed to provide the smooth operation of the Humanitarian Center's issuing points, which was under the threat of failure due to unfavourable weather conditions.

According to the plan, the Humanitarian Center is going to send five more truck convoys with food to Donetsk and form 160,000 survival kits till the end of January.

As of January 22, 2016, Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center issued 6,165,000 survival kits for adult civilians and 456,000 children packages on both sides of the contact line.
